The Royal Oak Middle School PTA is a partnership of parents, teachers, students and community members dedicated to helping our students have the best educational experience possible. At Royal Oak Middle School, membership is available to all parents, students, and members of the community. We welcome all to join our parent group.
Formed in 1897, the PTA is the nation’s oldest, non-profit child advocacy organization. At the middle school level, we’re not the PTA you’re used to at the elementary level, but we are still active and very involved in your student’s education. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Media Center at 7pm (unless otherwise announced). Come see what we’re doing these days and provide your ideas and feedback!
The PTA is a part of the community that is Royal Oak Middle School. Our role changes at this level and we often find our role as supportive rather than planning and executing. We sponsor and support many activities at ROMS.
Here are a just a few ways we help:
Volunteers – help with school or teacher projects
School assemblies and programs – similar to a cultural arts program
Contributions to 6th grade camp and 8th grade D.C. trips
Royal Oak Council PTA high school scholarship program
Social events for students
8th grade "graduation" celebration
Parent involvement is important at the middle school level and we have many ways that you can volunteer! By working together, the PTA can provide support and activities for the students and teachers of ROMS. To join ROMS PTA, simply download a membership form and return it with your dues to the main office.
